During the month November to  March the west coast of Ko Chang is sheltered from the easterly monsoon due to the high mountains. In contrary the bay of Salak Phet on the east coast is blessed by the fresh and dry north east monsoon blowing through a valley, providing our resort with a comfortable macro climate. Thus preventing mosquitoes and sand flies and other insects. Moreover it  provides ideal water sport and sailing conditions due to an off shore wind which can not generate high waves.
During the summer monsoon (May to October)  our bay is  sheltered from the  strong  westerly  wind. However  we have ideal conditions for sailing as we can sail in the bay with moderate winds and enjoy the monsoon once we leave the sheltered bay.

Salak Phet bay is the gateway to the Koh Chang archipelago of 52 smaller
